Title<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The title, or name, of your App, is very important. Along with your brand name, include relevant keywords in your title, so your app comes up on search results for those keywords.<\/span><\/p>\n

Example: Shoebox <\/a>is a photo back-up app. Its full name is <\/span>Shoebox \u2013 photo backup cloud<\/span><\/i>. When you search for \u2018photo backup app\u2019, Shoebox comes up as the\u00a0second result\u2014even before the Google photos app\u2014because it has the words \u2018photo backup\u2019 in its title.<\/span><\/p>\n

Potential users of \u2018Shoebox photo backup\u2019 may use search terms like \u201cphoto backup app\u201d, \u201cphoto cloud storage app\u201d, or \u201cfree photos backup apps\u201d to search for an app when they are looking to back up their photos. This number of words is shorter for phones compared to the display on tablets and computers. Use some of your important keywords in the description, but avoid overusing them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Images speak more loudly than words. Use screenshots that really communicate the benefits of your app. The App Store also allows you to submit a short video (15 to 30 seconds) of your app to demonstrate the features and functions. Your app\u2019s icon may be the first thing users notice when they see the app in a search result.
